Volunteers

Welcome to Invest It Forward. Whether you are new and need to register with us for the first time or returning and are logging in to find your perfect classroom match, we are here to assist. Trust that the SMG game sessions have only just started and will continue with new sessions adding throughout the fall and school year. Check back with us regularly or join an Open Office Hour to learn more.

Important: This site is most compatible with Chrome and Firefox.  It too will display best on a DESKTOP or LAPTOP computer (versus a phone or pad) to review teacher requests.  This will ensure the most efficient and better experience. Thank you!

If you are a financial professional wanting to bring your passion and expertise to students, teachers and nonprofits participating in SIFMA Foundation's financial education programs, register (first-time visitor) or login (return visitor) here.

Hear from our volunteers about Invest It Forward™

"I really enjoyed having you in the classroom - you kept the students engaged and gave them wonderful information to consider as they move forward in life. If you ever want a career change, you certainly have my vote of confidence for teacher."
– SMG Teacher

“Education in our field is so hard to find… so when professionals speak, it illustrates hands on and provides credibility to curriculum.”
— SMG Teacher

“What a way to learn. They researched every day, read the newspaper, listened to the news, collaborated, competed, worried, lived in fear of their investments losing equity, eventually made BOLD moves. And had lots of fun!”
— SMG Teacher

"Your presentation was really cool because you told us a lot about how to know which stocks are good or not. You also explained what brokers do. Thanks to you my team is doing the best in class right now!"

"I learned a plentiful amount from the presentation done by SIFMA featuring speakers from your firm. I especially enjoyed the group sessions. It is a rare event that I get to voice my ideas and opinions to the ears of someone with knowledge and expertise on the subject on hand. This event was a remarkable experience for me and, as you may have remembered me mentioning in our discussion, these experiences are indispensable for me to discover what path in life would be ideal for me."
— SMG Student

"It really means a lot when businesses and people like you offer to host our group because without you, none of this could happen! This was by far my favorite company to visit and I really loved what you guys do."
—SMG Student

"The NJ State Investwrite Winner, based on the many interactions he has had with your volunteers over the past two years and what he experienced both this year and last year while visiting your firm told his parents that his goal is to become a stock broker."
—SMG Teacher

"At least 30% of the 8th grade students in my SMG class are now actively trading. At Parent-Teacher conferences many of the parents have told me that they have given their son/daughter $500-$1000 and are letting them trade in their own small account, as well as sitting with their young teens to discuss investments and strategy with them."
—SMG Teacher

"Our volunteer was great and it was really worthwhile for the students to hear from someone else other than a teacher."
—SMG Teacher

"I believe financial literacy is so important, I’m ready and willing to go into the classroom to help achieve it."
—SIFMA Member Firm Volunteer
